Superfood Snacks
Since I received the wonderful Superfoods tutorial. from Meghan Telpner, I've been trying to incorporate as many superfoods as possible into our diet.
The other night, I made some snacks for us to nibble on with a glass of wine and decided to make them again tonight as we enjoyed them so much. The may look a little 'interesting', but they really do taste yummy :-)
Here's what I did...
Took a couple of ripe avocadoes
Scooped the flesh into a bowl
Juiced half a lemon
Added the juice and 2 minced garlic cloves
Added some cayenne pepper
Some freshly ground black pepper and Celtic sea salt
Mixed it all around until everything was incorporated and the avocado was mashed
Added a nice big spoonful of spirulina powder
Mixed it all around (Perry says it looks like baby poop )
Toasted some sesame seeds
Filled some celery sticks with the avocado mixture and chopped them into bite-sized pieces
Topped some with chia seeds
Some with toasted sesame seeds
And the rest with shelled hemp seeds
YUM!!
WOW! That is indeed a superfood fiesta!!!
